TCC increases scholarship opportunities for STEM students

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The number of students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics – commonly referred to as STEM professions – is on the rise. Through a grant awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Tallahassee Community College is fueling students’ interest in STEM professions by offering an increasing number of scholarship opportunities.

TCC’s District Board of Trustees take action to assist Gadsden County’s displaced workers

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - A special workforce intervention fund was created on Monday, November 17, by the Tallahassee Community College District Board of Trustees in response to severe layoffs in Gadsden County.

TCC’s Model UN students invited to China

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Eight students from TCC’s Model UN program have been invited to participate in the Nov. 22 National Model United Nations (NMUN) conference in Xi’an, China, for one week. This is the first international venue for TCC’s Model UN program and TCC is the only community college invited to participate. Two TCC faculty members, Dr. Richard Murgo, Program Chair of Economics and Political Science, and Doug Ryan, Model UN Adviser, will also be attending the conference.

Celebrate the holidays with TheatreTCC!’s “A Christmas Carol”

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- TheatreTCC! continues its 2008-09 season at 8 p.m., Thursday, November 20 when “A Christmas Carol” hits the stage at Tallahassee Community College’s Turner Auditorium for the first of six evening performances.
