           Team Assessment

1.Teaming and Communication

The process was long and extensive. The team leader was apart of various groups before a final group was formed. Ideas expanded as the project progressed . Getting a group together is not a facile task, so it was challenging. The URDC Coordinator organized the projects and made us aware of deadlines and expectations. We have learned that working with groups can be both challenging rewarding if it comes together in the end. We learned how to manage and make the most our time. As the project progressed many ideas arose and we had to learn how to incorporate each idea into our work and take out what might not be needed.

2. Research and Project design

Designing a project was the most enjoyable part for the team. The group had plenty of ideas on how it should look and the details that would go into a project of this magnitude. The design however is not final. Most of the ideas were modified and changed overtime with incorporation of more research and ideas. We had to learn how to organize our ideas and material and bring it into one clear idea and eventually turn our vision into reality with a concrete design.

I would advise future students to really involve themselves in the projects and be prepared for the challenges of group work and research. Don’t let your personal group experiences reflect in your work.
