Tallahassee Community College

There is a list of science related disciplines that are needed in order to solve the problem our team has identified. That includes the areas of computer science, health science, biology, mathematics, digital design, and communications.

· DaShawn (Computer Science/ Computer Engineering)- Responsibilities will be to handle all of the hardware and software of the product. DaShawn can contribute his knowledge of programming to help create our medical device by creating the programs to run the device. This device would have to have a program installed in it that will display the readings on the main display and a function that will set off the reminder, alerting the elder to take their medication. Also, DaShawn will be in control of the creation of the CPU, which will work as the brain of the product. For example, DaShawn would work to create a CPU with the necessary hard drive space so the recordings from the vital check can be saved.

· Robert (Digital Design and Arts)- With Robert’s outstanding art skills he would  be able to create a drawing of our product and creating a design for the device. With Robert’s great imagination, he can think of new ways to improve the product and come up with upgrades or new models.

· Ashley(Mathematics)- Responsible for setting time intervals, checking to see if the time is precise, and making sure that the product functions properly. With her knowledge of math, Ashley can also work together with DaShawn by making sure the math based information inside the programs that he is creating is all correct and that he is using the correct formulas to activate the reminder at the precise time.

Technical Support- In order to be a technical support worker and provide help with this product you would have to know a good amount about computers and the medical area. Any computer technician, programmer, or engineer is the requirement to be tech agent for the computer side of this product. The positions require at least a B.S. in Computer/Engineering related fields. As for the medical area, a registered/certified nurse and those that have their A.A. in nursing with experience would qualify as a tech agent for the medical circumstances that come up. Since this product deals mainly with the blood pressure and pulse of the customer, the need for an actual doctor is not necessary.
